"SOUTH AMERICA TRAVEL - Company has gone bust"
Back in 2019, I got top-notch service and great communication from Simone Costa at SOUTH AMERICA TRAVEL. A lot changed due to covid, but I was all set to travel this June. However, I couldn't get through on any of the company’s phone lines, and Simone's cell and emails were completely unresponsive. The Better Business Bureau says this company is now bankrupt. I'm out $5,000 and I'm really furious!!

"Frightening Experience"
Frightening. I just rang up their 'U.S.' phone line. The 800 number is always busy, and the 206 area code doesn’t even connect. Ads kept appearing when I attempted to access the site, which was odd. I’d agree with the last three reviews.

"This business has shut down"
This business has shut down. They’ve taken over $4000 from me without any travel happening. The phone numbers and email contacts are no longer functional. An automated email response indicates that I must handle things with overseas agents, and South America Travel will retain 20% for their 'expert planning of the tour,' which is a non-refundable charge handled by your Travel Consultant.

"This company is a total scam"
This company is a total scam. They organized my trip, took my cash, and now they won’t even reply to my emails or pick up the phone. The travel agent, Simone Costa, assured me a month ago that everything was on track. Now, I’m left with no choice but to hire a lawyer to try and recover my funds.

"Caution with this business"
Caution with this business. They've completely vanished. Took my cash and I can't get a single reply. Gonna have to chat with a lawyer just to find out if there's any hope of saving my trip.

"Fantastic Service"
My spouse and I have enjoyed two fantastic experiences with South America Travel. A few years back, they organized an amazing trip to Brazil for us. We were all set to go back to Brazil in the fall of 2020, but then Covid came along, and we couldn't travel. South America Travel provided us with multiple options for our deposit and guided us through everything. We're really looking forward to heading back to Brazil someday!

"Outstanding Support from the Team!"
Conrad McGarvey and Jon Hillstead have been nothing short of amazing in their expertise, professionalism, and efficiency. Unfortunately, because of Covid, our 'once in a lifetime' journey to South America has been delayed. However, from our initial planning with Jon to the later rescheduling with Conrad, our experiences with SouthAmerica.travel have been top-notch. Much appreciated!

"Clara is truly exceptional"
I can't express how great Clara has been! She's been super helpful and a joy to collaborate with. I wanted to plan a trip to Peru in November, but we were uncertain if things would be up and running after the Covid shutdown. Clara had to hustle to get everything sorted once it opened on November 1, and she even rearranged things when she discovered some places were still closed. Honestly, I doubt anyone else could have pulled it off. We're currently on our trip, and it's been nothing short of amazing. My family is really grateful for all the effort and dedication she put in.

"You gotta use SouthAmerica.travel!"
I booked a trip for my husband and myself through SouthAmerica.travel after he got back from deployment. It was super easy! Our travel coordinator, Martin Kaleta, really went the extra mile to ensure our wishes were fulfilled without emptying our wallets. He was in touch via email and phone at times that worked for me. Martin shared his own travel stories from South America, which really helped us decide on visiting both Peru and Ecuador. I wish we could've spent more time down there, but the time we had was AMAZING thanks to Martin and his crew. When I start planning my next adventure down south, I won’t think twice about using SouthAmerica.travel again.

"Exquisite South America Adventure in Feb/Mar 2020, Thanks to Annica Gaither"
My journey was meticulously planned by South America Travel, showcasing remarkable attention to detail and providing an outstanding experience. The entire personalized itinerary was carried out by their local tour operators, who put in tremendous effort, with guides fluent in English and incredibly knowledgeable about the attractions and regions we explored. Everything went off without a hitch, with no detail overlooked. The hotels were well-selected, and we enjoyed local tours, winery visits, tastings, and lunches. It was truly an unforgettable experience.

"My Trip to Chile with SouthAmerica.travel"
I collaborated with Mike B from SouthAmerica.travel, and he was super responsive to my needs, always there when I had queries or worries. He provided excellent suggestions not just for activities and sights but also shared a bunch of dining options for every place we checked out in Chile. I’d surely suggest SouthAmerica.travel if you’re planning a trip to South America down the line.
